Zielsetzung und Projekte:
Planung und Durchführung Investigator-initiierter und Pharmaindustrie-gesponserter therapeutischer Studien der Phase I-IV in der Indikation idiopathisches und atypische Parkinson Syndrome (in Kooperation mit der AG atypische Parkinson Syndrome).
An folgenden nationalen und internationalen Studien nahmen Zentren der German Parkinson Study Group in 2023 teil bzw. befinden sich in der Planung:
Investigator-initiierte Studie Indikation idiopathisches Parkinson Syndrom:
- Phase IIa: national multicenter, prospective, interventional, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study to assess safety, tolerability and symptomatic efficacy of the ROCK-Inhibitor Fasudil in Patients with Parkinson's Disease
Pharmaindustrie-gesponserte Studien Indikation idopathisches Parkinson Syndrom:
- Phase IIa: international multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to assess the efficacy, safety, tolerability, and pharmakokinetics of UCB0599 in study participants with Parkinson’s disease
- Extensionsstudie UCB0599: a dose-blinded extension study to evaluate the long-term efficacy, safety, and tolerability of UCB0599 in study participants with Parkinson’s disease
- Phase IIb: international multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to assess the efficacy, safety, tolerability of BIIB122 in study participants with Parkinson’s disease
- Phase IIb: international multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to assess the efficacy, safety, tolerability of Posiphen® on clinical outcome and plasma-based biomarkers in patients suffering from mild to moderate Parkinson’s disease, followed by a open-label treatment
- Phase IIb: international multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to assess the efficacy of Pirepemat on falls frequency in patients with Parkinson's Disease
- Non-AMG, non-MPG Studie: nationale multizentrische, prospektive, randomisierte und kontrollierte Interventionsstudie zu Versorgungseffekten durch Parkinson Go.
Pharmaindustrie-gesponserte Studien Indikation Multisystem Atrophie:
- Phase I: international multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to assess the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of BIIB101/ION464 to patients with MultipleSystem Atrophy
- Phase II: international multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the efficacy, safety, tolerability, Pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of TAK-341 in Subjects with Multiple System Atrophy

Arbeitsgruppen-Treffen:
Das Arbeitsgruppen-Treffen der German Parkinson Study Group fand am 8.11.2023 während des Jahreskongress der DGN in Berlin statt.
Neben der Präsentation und Diskussion der derzeit laufenden und geplanten klinischen Studien wurden Maßnahmen zur Optimierung der Rekrutierungsleistung und somit der internationalen Kompetitivität erarbeitet:
- Kontinuierliche Überprüfung und Anpassung der Qualifikationskriterien der Zentren
- Regelmäßige Updates aller GPS Zentren über die geplanten und laufenden Studien
- Optimierung der Patientenzuweisung durch „Satellitenzentren“
